Soulcity has announced Season 2 of the Indian GTA V Rumble Invitational (IGRI), a gaming tournament featuring 48 teams competing for a prize pool of Rs 4 lakh. The tournament will run from October 17 to November 4, with all matches streamed exclusively on KICK.

According to a press release issued by Soulcity from Mumbai today, the tournament follows the success of its first season and aims to bring together creators, streamers and players from India’s GTA V Roleplay community. The competition uses a Battle Royale format, allowing teams to compete against one another in GTA V.

The tournament will feature 32 registered teams and 16 invited teams across four stages: open qualifiers, group stages, semi-finals and finals. The open qualifiers will take place from October 17 to 19, followed by the group stages from October 23 to 25. The semi-finals are scheduled for October 28 to 30, while the finals will run from November 2 to 4.

During the open qualifiers, the 32 registered teams will be divided into four groups of eight. Sixteen teams will advance to the group stage, where they will join 16 invited teams to form a 32-team field. The semi-finals will feature 24 teams competing across three groups of eight in 18 matches to determine the finalists.

The finals will feature 16 teams competing in a single lobby across 18 matches over three days. Teams will earn placement points for finishing in the top 10 of each match and one point for every elimination. Each player will also stream their gameplay live on KICK, allowing viewers to follow the action from individual players’ perspectives.

The invited teams will include creators from 8Bit Creatives and India’s GTA V streaming community, including Parv Singh, known as Regaltos; Mrinmoy Lakhar, known as Mercy; Mukul Anchal, known as Mafia; and Monika Jeph, known as Sherlock.

Lokesh Jain, Co-founder of 8Bit Creatives, said the success of the first season showed the growing interest in a format that brings GTA V creators together. He added that the second season would provide more creators with opportunities to reach audiences through competitive gaming.

The tournament also marks another step in 8Bit Creatives’ partnership with KICK., the agency has partnered with more than 400 GTA V creators on KICK for the tournament. The collaboration aims to connect creators with wider audiences through community-driven competitions.
