NDTV Good Times is bringing Sonu Nigam for a live concert on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the SKICC, with the majestic Dal Lake and the Himalayan peaks forming a breathtaking backdrop. The evening will not only showcase Nigam’s most celebrated Bollywood hits but also serve as a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Mohammed Rafi, whose centenary year is being marked with this grand celebration.
According to an NDTV press release, the concert will be the first of its kind in the valley, transforming Srinagar into the stage for a musical experience of global scale. For audiences, the chance to hear Rafi Saab’s timeless classics reimagined by Sonu Nigam is expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience — a confluence of memory, legacy, and artistry.
Speaking about the occasion, Sonu Nigam said, “It is more special because we have not seen the celebration of 100 years of the late Mohammed Rafi Sahab at Dal Lake. Can you imagine! The whole world knows my connection with my peer, my guru, my inspiration but celebrating his legacy at Dal Lake in Kashmir, celebrating the zest of Kashmir is going to be really wonderful and special. Looking forward to seeing you all there.”
Rahul Kanwal, CEO & Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, described the event as a defining cultural moment. “Good Times was created as a canvas for India’s most extraordinary cultural expressions. To bring Sonu Nigam to Srinagar, with the Dal Lake as his stage, is an affirmation of India’s confidence in presenting its heritage, its beauty, and its artistry to the world,” he said.
Echoing the sentiment, Rahul Kumar Shaw, Chief Experiences Officer, NDTV Good Times, added, “When we said Good Times will be about extraordinary experiences, this is what we meant. Sonu Nigam at Dal Lake is a never-seen-before cultural spectacle that puts Srinagar on the world stage. We’ve promised audiences that every NDTV Good Times experience will be bigger, richer, and more immersive, and this evening is exactly what we promised.”
The choice of venue itself is symbolic. SKICC, nestled along the Dal, is expected to mirror the glow of the stage as dusk settles, fusing nature and performance into an unforgettable spectacle. The event is not only a tribute to Rafi but also an attempt to reimagine Kashmir’s place on the global cultural map.
Tickets for the concert are available exclusively on District, with limited seating and high demand expected for what is being described as an unmissable evening in the valley’s cultural history.
On October 26, as Sonu Nigam’s voice rises above Dal Lake, Srinagar will echo with nostalgia, hope, and the immortal magic of Mohammed Rafi.
