SnapChat has officially announced its premium subscription plan, SnapChat+, which will offer a collection of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features available on Snapchat for $3.99/month.
SnapChat said, “This subscription will allow us to deliver new Snapchat features to some of the most passionate members of our community and allow us to provide prioritized support.”
SnapChat+ will currently be available only in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Expansion into other countries will follow in future, according to a report on timesnow.com.
To access the premium features, once subscribed, users need to click on the “SnapChat+” on their SnapChat profile.
SnapChat’s first quarter 2022 financial results showed a net loss of $360 million, compared to $287 million in the prior year. However, the company increased its daily active users by 18% Y-o-Y to 332 million.
