Actor Sidhant Gupta is all set to headline the upcoming short film ‘Duet’, which will premiere on Spotify on July 30. The film will also be released on Getaway Pictures official YouTube channel, giving audiences another platform to watch the emotional drama, according to an official press release.
Directed by Sheetal Menon, according to a PTI report yesterday, ‘Duet’ marks her latest project after her acclaimed 2019 short film ‘Siblings’.
The film is backed by filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar and produced under the Getaway Pictures banner.
The screenplay has been co-written by Sheetal Menon and Arpita Chatterjee. The story revolves around a gifted pianist whose life takes a heartbreaking turn during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the world remains in isolation, he is forced to confront the sudden death of his estranged brother, a loss that brings back unresolved emotions and painful memories.
Through the protagonist’s journey, ‘Duet’ explores themes of grief, loneliness, family relationships, forgiveness, and emotional healing.
The film highlights how people deal with personal loss during difficult times and the importance of finding closure even after years of emotional distance.
Speaking about the film, the makers describe ‘Duet’ as an intimate and emotionally driven story that reflects on human relationships and the power of music in expressing emotions that words often cannot.
