Global space solutions provider SES and JioStar, South Asia’s largest media conglomerate, have entered into a major multi-year agreement.

Under the deal, SES will deliver satellite distribution services for JioStar’s extensive portfolio of television channels across India and the broader Indian subcontinent utilizing its IS-20 satellite.

The transition to SES’s IS-20 satellite, according to a joint statement released yesterday by the companies, will provides JioStar with a resilient, future-ready broadcast infrastructure equipped with flexible C-band and Ku-band delivery capabilities.

The platform ensures high-quality transmission to cable, direct-to-home (DTH), and broadcast networks, guaranteeing seamless connectivity for millions of households throughout the region.

IS-20 forms a core part of SES’s established video neighbourhood, offering advanced digital payload capabilities that serve broadcasters, telecom operators, and media enterprises across Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
