Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is reportedly in early-stage discussions with filmmaker duo Raj & DK for a potential new cinematic venture that is being described as an action-comedy. If the collaboration materialises, the film is expected to blend Khan’s trademark larger-than-life screen presence with the directors’ distinctive style of humour, wit and high-energy storytelling.
According to a UNI report, the project is still at a preliminary stage, with creative discussions underway. Sources suggest the film is being envisioned on a grand scale and could present Salman Khan in a slightly different space while retaining the mass appeal that defines his films.
A source quoted by Pinkvilla said that Khan has already heard the basic idea and shown interest, though he is yet to give his final approval. “It’s an action-comedy, but it will also present Khan in a slightly different space. However, he is yet to give his final nod to the project,” the source said.
Timelines are also said to be a key part of the ongoing discussions, given Salman Khan’s packed professional schedule. The same source added that if everything aligns creatively and the script is locked, the makers are keen to take the film on floors by the end of 2026. At present, the focus remains on refining the concept and ensuring that all creative elements fall into place.
A collaboration with Raj & DK, best known for popular projects like The Family Man, could offer audiences a fresh flavour of mass entertainment from Salman Khan. However, for now, the project remains in the discussion phase, and an official announcement is expected only after Khan gives his go-ahead.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is busy with his upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films. The film, which also stars Chitrangada Singh, is based on true events and is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 17, 2026.
