In a significant development in India’s entertainment industry, Ruhee Das has been appointed as the Marketing Director at Sony Pictures Entertainment effective June 2025.
The news was confirmed through a LinkedIn post shared by Das herself, where she expressed gratitude for the new role and reflected on her nearly seven-year journey within the Sony ecosystem.
Prior to this elevation, Ruhee served as the marketing lead at Sony Pictures Television for six years and ten months. Her expertise spanned the promotion of Sony’s Hollywood films and TV shows on prominent streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, and Sony LIV, in addition to linear TV channels like Colors Infinity and &Flix.
Her tenure was marked by full-spectrum marketing responsibilities and she led press engagement, talent interview coordination, and performance marketing efforts that strengthened Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s presence across social media platforms. Additionally, she handled monetisation strategies for Sony’s movie and TV content on YouTube, further expanding the brand’s digital footprint.
Before joining Sony, Das spent nearly four years at Viacom18 Media Pvt Ltd, where she worked across various verticals within consumer products, apart from stints at the Times of India Group, Propellum and Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd.
