Senior journalist and news anchor Rubika Liyaquat has returned to Network18. She will take charge as Managing Editor of News18 Rajasthan and will also anchor the 7 pm slot on News18 India.
According to a News18 announcement on Instagram, Liyaquat will lead the editorial operations of News18 Rajasthan while also taking on the 7 pm prime-time role on News18 India. She will report to Jyoti Kamal, Managing Editor of News18 India.
Liyaquat previously joined News18 India as Consulting Editor in January 2024. During her earlier stint, she anchored shows including ‘Goonj’ and ‘Desh Nahin Jhukne Denge’. She left News18 India in May 2026.
After leaving News18, Liyaquat joined Times Now Navbharat in June 2026 as Senior Executive Editor and Vice President of Special Projects. She also took charge of the prime-time programme ‘News Ki Pathshala’. She left the channel in September 2026.
With her return to Network18, Liyaquat will now handle the editorial operations of News18 Rajasthan while also returning to the national prime-time lineup on News18 India.
Liyaquat has nearly two decades of experience in television journalism and has worked with news organisations including Live India, News24, Zee News, ABP News, Bharat24, News18 India and Times Now Navbharat.
