Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh set to join forces with Ajay Devgn in the highly anticipated sequel ‘Raid 2‘, the film’s makers announced yesterday.
The movie, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, is a follow-up to the 2018 hit ‘Raid’, where Ajay Devgn portrayed the role of IRS officer Amay Patnaik.
Deshmukh, renowned for his roles in the ‘Housefull’ series, ‘Dhamaal’, and ‘Ek Villain’, will take on the role of the antagonist in this much-anticipated sequel, PTI reported from Mumbai.
“Get ready for a face-off! Riteish Deshmukh takes on the role of the antagonist in ‘Raid 2’,” T-Series shared on Instagram.
Director Raj Kumar Gupta, who successfully helmed the first installment, is returning to direct ‘Raid 2.’ The film will also feature actress Vaani Kapoor in a pivotal role.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under T-Series and Panorama Studios banners, ‘Raid 2’ is currently in production and is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 15, 2024.
