After emerging as a surprise blockbuster in Telugu, ‘Shambhala: A Mystical World’ is now gearing up to enter the Hindi market, with its trailer unveiled by Kantara star Rishab Shetty.
The mystical thriller, headlined by Aadi Saikumar and directed by Ugandhar Muni, is scheduled for a theatrical Hindi release on January 9, with Avanika Films handling the distribution.
Released in Telugu on Christmas Day, December 25, ‘Shambhala’ opened to unanimously positive reviews and has since shown strong box-office momentum. Backed by Rajasekhar Annabhimoju and Mahidhar Reddy under the Shining Pictures banner, the film has proved to be a profitable venture, with both theatrical and non-theatrical rights fetching impressive returns for producers and distributors alike. Even in its second week, the film has continued to register healthy collections, cementing its status as a commercial success.
Unveiling the Hindi trailer, Rishab Shetty extended his best wishes to the team. Sharing his thoughts on X, he wrote, “After a grand successful Telugu release, #Shambala releasing in Hindi on 9th Jan’26. Unveiling the Hindi trailer. All the best to Aadi Saikumar and the entire team.” His endorsement has further amplified curiosity around the film’s Hindi debut.
The trailer sets the tone with a striking cosmic event—a comet crash near a spiritually steeped village. From the impact emerges a mysterious stone believed to possess control over the five elements of nature. Enter a geo-scientist, portrayed by Aadi Saikumar, whose rational and scientific outlook puts him at odds with the ancient beliefs surrounding the phenomenon. The narrative builds on this confrontation between logic and faith, forming the emotional and philosophical backbone of the film.
Director Ugandhar Muni leans heavily into atmosphere and mysticism, crafting a world where devotion, suspense and mythology intertwine. The Hindi trailer highlights this balance through evocative visuals, mounting tension and a compelling voiceover that deepens the sense of mystery surrounding Shambhala’s universe.
Aadi Saikumar appears in a refreshed and intense avatar, hinting at one of his most layered performances to date. He is joined by Archana Iyer as the female lead, while Swasika, Ravi Varma, Madhunandan and Siva Karthik add depth to the supporting cast.
The film’s technical finesse stands out prominently in the trailer. JK Murthy’s art direction brings the mystical setting to life, Praveen K Bangari’s cinematography captures the cosmic and spiritual contrasts with richness, and Sricharan Pakala’s background score elevates the narrative tension. Together, the technical elements contribute significantly to the film’s immersive experience.
With a strong Telugu run behind it and a compelling Hindi trailer now out, ‘Shambhala: A Mystical World’ appears well-positioned to attract Hindi-speaking audiences, setting the stage for another successful chapter in its theatrical journey.
