The trailer for Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sequel Gladiator 2, a follow-up to his 2000 hit, was released on Tuesday. The film stars Paul Mescal as a grown-up Lucius, a character originally portrayed by Spencer Treat Clark, PTI reported.
Set two decades after the events of the Russell Crowe-led original, Gladiator 2 follows Lucius living in Numidia, North Africa, where his mother Lucilla had sent him to keep him away from the Roman Empire. The unfolding events, however, compel Lucius to return to Rome as a gladiator, setting the stage for an epic continuation of the saga.
The trailer promises a gripping narrative and visually stunning sequences, marking a powerful return to the world of Gladiator. Fans can look forward to another thrilling journey through the ancient Roman Empire.
