After an impactful eight-year stint at Republic Media Network, Hersh Bhandari has announced his departure, marking the end of a defining phase in his professional journey.
Bhandari, who served as Chief Executive Officer since December 2018, shared a heartfelt note on LinkedIn as he stepped away from the organisation, reflecting on his learnings, experiences and the relationships he built along the way.
In his farewell message, Bhandari struck a deeply personal tone, writing, “Zindagi khwaab hai — Roz jeeyo with full passion. Har ending actually ek disguised beginning hoti hai — bas samajhne ki nazar chahiye. Make every run at work, your dream run. Make it count.” His words underscored the philosophy that has guided much of his leadership — embracing change and finding opportunity in every transition.
He spoke candidly about growth, mistakes and the importance of keeping perspective. “Sirf yaadein — jo inspire karein. Sirf learnings — jo better banayein. Har mistake was just a rehearsal for your comeback and only makes you better,” he wrote. Addressing the inevitable scrutiny that comes with leadership roles, he added, “Log kya bolenge? Kuch appreciate karenge, kuch unnecessary tareeke se analyse karenge. But hey — this is your journey. Your rishta universe ke saath, own your mistakes and live improving it, embrace it — with grace and gratitude love / criticism.”
Expressing gratitude for the support he received throughout his tenure, Bhandari thanked colleagues, mentors and even those who challenged him. “To all my connections — Jinhone pyaar diya, support diya, concern dikhaya… aur un sabko bhi jinhone mushkil raste dikhaake lessons sikhaye. To my 8 years at Republic Media Network with unconditional love and support from all. With my head held high I bow down with gratitude to all those who made this journey possible and memorable.”
Bhandari’s career spans over three decades, starting with Pepe Jeans London where he worked as Sales Marketing Manager from 1991 to 1998. He later held key positions at Star TV Network as Marketing Manager, and subsequently took on leadership roles at Zoom and Times Network before joining Republic Media. Over the years, he became a familiar figure in India’s media industry, known for his strategic vision and people-first leadership style.
While Bhandari did not reveal specifics about his next move, he hinted at new beginnings ahead. “To my next chapter (keep rumours/ speculations on hold till then). Zindagi… aa raha hoon main,” he wrote, signalling that he is preparing to embark on another professional challenge.
