India’s leading private radio and entertainment network, 93.5 RED FM, has announced the 14th edition of its cultural extravaganza, ‘Red Raas’.
This event will commemorate the nine auspicious days of Navratri, taking place from October 15-23 in Ahmedabad, the radio network said in a media statement.
The journey of ‘Red Raas’ began in 2009 when Red FM hosted its first on-ground garba event in the vibrant city of Ahmedabad.
Now, in 2023, Red FM is all set to celebrate the 14th season of ‘Red Raas’, promising participants nine days filled with vibrant music, dance, and cultural splendour. Over the years, the ‘Red Raas’ team has produced around 100 original music tracks under this banner, and in keeping with tradition, they are releasing a brand-new track titled ‘Aave Jo Rasiyo Rang Ma’, the statement added.
The track is a captivating medley of iconic garba tracks featuring prominent Gujarati singers such as Aditya Gadhvi, Bhumi Trivedi, Kirtidan Gadhvi, Osman Mir and others.
Reflecting on this exciting announcement, Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO of RED FM and Magic FM, expressed, “What began as a humble initiative to infuse contemporary flavours into traditional garba music has developed into a journey of 14 years, producing almost 100 original tracks. ‘Red Raas’, our longest-running IP, has become a trend-setting custodian of tradition, resurrecting folklore by weaving folk with the newest trends and making it cool for youngsters.”
