The Telecom Authority of India (TRAI) has appointed V Raghunandan as the new secretary of the regulatory body.
According to ET, the news comes when Sunil Kumar Gupta has granted a two-month extension till 31 May 2021, to continue as the secretary at TRAI in March this year.
Now, Gupta has been appointed as the senior deputy director-general at the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), where he will oversee all the field units under the 22 Licensed Service Areas (LSA).
Meanwhile, Raghunandan was working as deputy director-general at the Department of Telecommunications.
