PVR INOX Limited has partnered with Star Sports to bring live Premier League action to theatres across major cities in India, marking the debut of Star Sports Select Screenings.
Football enthusiasts can now enjoy matches featuring top teams like Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham on the big screen. The screenings will launch in cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Kochi and Pune, offering fans an immersive matchday experience.
Following the success of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 screenings, the Premier League will be the first to feature in the Select Screenings initiative. The screenings aim to replicate the stadium atmosphere, allowing fans to celebrate each goal and tackle as part of a community.
Gautam Dutta, CEO of Revenue & Operations at PVR INOX Limited, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Our partnership with Star Sports aims to give Premier League fans an unmatched viewing experience in theatres, creating a communal space for supporters to come together.”
Vikram Passi, Marketing Head of Star Sports Network, added, “This initiative is not only about watching football; it’s about uniting passionate fans in an immersive environment.”
The screenings begin with the highly anticipated Chelsea vs. Arsenal match on November 10.
