Prime Video has expanded its add-on subscription portfolio in India with the onboarding of Goldmines Play, the streaming service from Goldmines Telefilms, further strengthening its family-focused and mass-entertainment offering.
With this integration, Prime Video customers across the country can now access Goldmines Play’s extensive catalogue at a monthly price of Rs.39, with a special introductory offer of Rs.29 for the first month.
According to a press release issued on the announcement, Goldmines Play brings to Prime Video a carefully curated library of blockbuster South Indian films dubbed in Hindi, along with a selection of evergreen Hindi classics. The service is positioned as a family-friendly entertainment destination, catering to viewers across age groups and tapping into the strong demand for dubbed regional cinema among Hindi-speaking audiences.
The catalogue features popular titles starring some of Indian cinema’s biggest stars, including Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu, Vijay and Allu Arjun. Well-known films such as ‘Rangasthalam’, ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’, ‘Bigil’, ‘Oh Baby’, ‘Sarrainodu’, ‘Son of Satyamurthy’ and ‘Magadheera’ sit alongside iconic Hindi films like ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Vaastav’ and ‘Apne’. Subscribers will also gain access to exclusive digital premieres, adding freshness to the library alongside familiar favourites.
Goldmines Telefilms, a dominant force in Hindi dubbing and satellite movie broadcasting, is steadily expanding its digital footprint to meet evolving viewer preferences. With a proven track record across television and YouTube, the company is leveraging Goldmines Play to take its content legacy deeper into the OTT ecosystem, making high-impact South Indian and Hindi films more accessible nationwide.
Commenting on the partnership, Gaurav Bhasin, Head of Marketplace (Add-On Subscriptions and Movie Rentals) and Prime Video Ads, India, said Prime Video’s add-on subscriptions have emerged as a powerful launchpad for both global and local streaming services. He noted that the addition of Goldmines Play enriches Prime Video’s regional content mix and offers customers convenient access to a robust collection of dubbed blockbusters and Hindi films within a single destination.
Manish Shah, Founder and CEO of Goldmines Telefilms, said the company’s growth has always been rooted in understanding mass audiences and their appetite for strong storytelling. From building a leading satellite movie channel in the Hindi-speaking market to creating one of the world’s largest movie-focused YouTube channels, Shah said the partnership with Prime Video marks a significant step in scaling Goldmines’ OTT ambitions and extending its reach across screens.
With Goldmines Play joining its add-on ecosystem, Prime Video continues to position itself as a one-stop entertainment hub, offering simplified access, unified billing and a wider range of content choices. The launch underlines the platform’s strategy of combining convenience with depth, as it builds out a diverse catalogue of local and regional stories for Indian audiences.
