Looking to fill up the post of member (personnel) in India’s pubcaster Prasar Bharati, the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (MIB) has invited applications from eligible persons.
Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) is an autonomous body set up by an Act of the Parliament, The Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990.
The President of India appoints a person having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of personnel management and administration to the post of Member (Personnel), Prasar Bharati Board on recommendation of a committee headed by the Vice President of India.
The appointed person, being a whole-time member of the Prasar Bharati Board, shall be an employee of the pubcaster and hold office for a term of six years from the date of joining or the age of 62 years (whichever is earlier).
The post carries a scale of pay equivalent to an Additional Secretary in the federal government.
