Superstar Prabhas is all set to make a thrilling return to the big screen with ‘The Raja Saab’, a horror entertainer that promises to showcase the actor in a completely new avatar. Directed by Maruthi, the much-anticipated film will release worldwide on December 5, the makers officially announced on Tuesday.

According to an IANS report, the team behind the genre-defying entertainer also confirmed that a teaser will be unveiled on June 16, offering fans a first glimpse into the world of ‘The Raja Saab’. This marks a significant shift for Prabhas, as the film will be his first full-fledged foray into the horror genre. Expectations are soaring high with fans eager to see how the star adapts to this spooky, yet entertaining setup.

The first motion poster had already generated buzz, with its intriguing mix of supernatural intrigue and vintage visual flair. Director Maruthi, who is well known for blending humour with heartfelt storytelling, appears to have crafted a horror film that is not just spine-chilling, but also rich in drama and entertainment. Produced by T G Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film is reportedly being made on a lavish scale, with grand production values and an immersive cinematic vision.

Cinematography for the film is handled by Karthik Palani, while the music is composed by acclaimed musician Thaman S. Interestingly, the approach to the film’s music has also broken tradition. Instead of locking in songs before production, Thaman was given the flexibility to revisit and reshape his compositions post-shoot. In an earlier interview, Thaman had shared that this method was chosen especially for Prabhas, who is returning to a musical commercial space after a long gap. The soundtrack includes a high-energy dance number, a theme-based love song, a melodic track, and a powerful introductory number—all designed to resonate with audiences across the country.

Thaman also revealed that a massive Rs.30–40 crore investment has gone into the film’s audio, which only heightens expectations for the music’s impact, particularly in the Hindi-speaking belt. “There’s no room for anything less than the best,” Thaman emphasized, underscoring the stakes involved in a project of this magnitude.

Adding further appeal to the film is its ensemble cast, which includes Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Ridhi Kumar. The trio is expected to bring elegance and freshness to the eerie, vibrant world of ‘The Raja Saab’, elevating the film’s visual storytelling.

Slated for a massive pan-India release in five languages Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam ‘The Raja Saab’ is shaping up to be a landmark film in Prabhas’s career. With a gripping teaser just days away and the theatrical release lined up for December, the countdown to this horror spectacle has officially begun.
