Narendra Modi has congratulated Times Network on unveiling its new brand identity, marking two decades of its flagship channel Times Now. The announcement was made at the Times Now Summit 2026 in New Delhi, where the network also celebrated its 20-year journey in Indian news broadcasting.

According to a press release from Times Network, the new identity was formally unveiled by Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, along with Vineet Jain, Managing Director of The Times Group. The rebranding is positioned as a forward-looking step that reflects the network’s evolution in a rapidly transforming media landscape.

In his message, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the pivotal role media plays in shaping public awareness and encouraging active participation in issues of social and national importance. He noted that as India moves towards the vision of a “Viksit Bharat,” the contribution of platforms like The Times Group will be crucial in strengthening unity, shaping ideas and amplifying India’s voice on the global stage. He described the new identity as a reflection of progress and a sign of the network’s continued relevance.

Over the past two decades, Times Network has established itself as a key player in documenting India’s growth story, capturing defining moments and driving national conversations. The refreshed brand identity moves beyond its legacy roots to embrace a more agile and global outlook, symbolising the flow of information in an interconnected world.

The newly unveiled logo is anchored around a globe motif that carries the imprint of India, representing both the country’s growing global presence and the network’s role as a bridge between India and the world. The design reflects a vision of openness, connectivity and aspiration, aligning with India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, while unveiling the new identity, extended his congratulations to the network, stating that the logo reflects the ethos of modern India. Vineet Jain described the rebranding as more than a visual change, calling it a declaration of purpose that positions the network as a platform for meaningful, cross-border conversations and exchange of ideas.

The rebrand comes at a time when Times Network is expanding its presence across television and digital platforms, reaching audiences in over 100 countries. With its growing footprint and evolving content strategy, the network aims to continue driving impactful discourse while staying aligned with the aspirations of a rapidly changing India.
