Planetcast Media Services, a leading media technology provider in India and Southeast Asia, has recently sealed the acquisition deal with Switch Media, a prominent white-label OTT platform provider serving markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the US. The acquisition marks a significant move for Planetcast, granting it complete control over all assets of Switch Media.
Switch Media, established in 2006 and headquartered in Australia, has garnered renown for its delivery of intricate online streaming solutions for major global events such as the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and Formula 1, catering to esteemed clients like Foxtel Australia and Media Prima Malaysia. Having already been a strategic partner of Planetcast, Switch Media’s integration into Planetcast’s ecosystem will enable seamless alignment of online video solutions with Planetcast’s unified platform, NexC, ensuring optimal fulfillment of customer requirements.
CEO of Planetcast, Sanjay Duda, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, citing Switch Media’s proven expertise in OTT as a valuable addition to Planetcast’s service portfolio and expansion strategy. He emphasized the importance of integrating Switch Media’s capabilities with NexC to enhance content operations and monetization opportunities for customers.
