Acclaimed actor Patricia Clarkson has joined the cast of Netflix’s romantic western drama ‘Ransom Canyon’ for its upcoming second season. The series, fronted by Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, is based on Jodi Thomas’s beloved novels of the same name.
According to a PTI report, Clarkson will appear in a guest role as Claire O’Grady, the mother of Quinn, played by Minka Kelly. The veteran actor is widely recognised for her performances in films such as ‘Friends with Benefits’ and ‘The Maze Runner’ franchise, as well as her Emmy-winning turn in the HBO miniseries ‘Sharp Objects’.
‘Ransom Canyon’ blends romance, drama, and the rugged backdrop of the American West, following the intertwined lives and love stories of its central characters. With Clarkson stepping into the role of a strong maternal figure, season two is expected to bring added emotional depth to the narrative.
Netflix has yet to reveal the release date for the new season, but the addition of Clarkson to the ensemble has already sparked anticipation among fans of the show and the original book series.
