The teaser of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, has been unveiled, offering a glimpse into a comedy that builds on the classic love triangle trope with a fresh and more chaotic twist.
According to an IANS report, the film revisits the familiar “pati-patni-aur-woh” theme but amplifies it with a new-age storyline, where confusion escalates as the protagonist finds himself caught not between two, but three women. The teaser sets the tone for a narrative driven by humour, misunderstandings, and relationship drama.
It opens with glimpses from the original 1978 ‘Pati Patni Aur Who’, directed by B. R. Chopra and starring Sanjeev Kumar, before transitioning to the 2019 remake featuring Kartik Aaryan. The visuals then shift to the latest version, introducing Ayushmann Khurrana as Prajapati Pandey at the centre of a more complex romantic entanglement.
The story appears to revolve around a husband navigating a web of relationships, leading to a series of humorous and chaotic situations. Alongside Ayushmann, the film features Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles, each adding to the central conflict. Vijay Raaz also appears in the film, playing a cop who further complicates the narrative.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is backed by T-Series and B R Studios. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra and Krishan Kumar, with Juno Chopra serving as the creative producer.
The original 1978 film, featuring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur, explored extramarital relationships through satire and social commentary. The 2019 adaptation reinterpreted the theme for modern audiences with a comic lens, and the upcoming film appears to take that evolution a step further by increasing the complexity of relationships.
‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ is scheduled to release in theatres on May 15, 2026, promising a blend of nostalgia and contemporary humour for audiences.
