Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is all set to collaborate once again with filmmaker Amit Rai, the creative mind behind ‘OMG 2’, for a new, currently untitled film.
This reunion comes after the duo’s critically and commercially successful venture last year, which tackled sensitive subjects with depth, humour, and a strong social message.
As per PTI, the upcoming project is currently in pre-production and is expected to go on floors later this year. While plot details remain tightly under wraps, early reports suggest that the film will once again explore socially relevant themes, blending Amit Rai’s thoughtful storytelling with Tripathi’s nuanced acting style.
Tripathi, known for his versatility and ability to slip seamlessly into any character, expressed enthusiasm about teaming up with Rai again. “Amit brings a unique voice to cinema, and working with him on OMG 2 was an enriching experience. We’re excited to create something fresh and meaningful for the audience,” he said in a brief comment.
Director Amit Rai echoed the sentiment, highlighting the natural chemistry he shares with Tripathi. “Pankaj ji brings immense depth to every character he plays. Our last collaboration struck a chord with audiences, and I believe our next project will resonate even more.”
The film is expected to be backed by a prominent production house, with more announcements regarding the cast, title, and release date likely to follow in the coming weeks. With ‘OMG 2’ receiving praise for its bold narrative and sensitive handling of important social issues, expectations are already building around what this duo will deliver next.
