Actress Shilpa Shirodkar has shared a memorable and emotional story about meeting Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan for the first time during the shooting of the film ‘Hum’ (1991).
She shared this memory on ‘India’s Best Dancer’ Season 5, where she appeared as a special guest. The moment came back while contestants performed on the song ‘Kagaz Kalam’ from the film.
According to a Sony Entertainment TV press release, Shilpa said she was new to the film industry at that time and was a big fan of Bachchan. She recalled how nervous she became when she saw him arrive on set, saying she completely forgot her dance steps because of excitement and fear.
She described how everyone on set suddenly announced his arrival and how star struck she felt seeing him walk in. She also remembered how he politely introduced himself, which made the moment even more special for her.
The judges of the show Jaaved Jaaferi, Karisma Kapoor, Terence Lewis, and Geeta Kapur were also moved by her story. The episode will air this weekend on Sony Entertainment Television.
