News18 India, the country’s leading Hindi news channel, hosted the Diamond States Summit Bihar in Patna to discuss the state’s development, governance and future plans. The summit marked the completion of the Bihar Government’s first 100 days in office.
Held with the theme ‘Rajya Nirman se Rashtriya Nirman’, the event brought together Bihar’s top government leaders, policymakers, experts and public representatives for a discussion on the state’s growth roadmap.
According to a News18 press release, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary delivered the keynote address and highlighted the government’s achievements in areas including law and order, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, education and employment. He also shared the vision of building a ‘Viksit Bihar, Viksit Bharat’.
Several state ministers presented their department’s progress and future plans. Shreyasi Singh spoke about industrial growth, startups, employment opportunities and sports infrastructure, while Leshi Singh highlighted infrastructure development and major construction projects across Bihar.
Shravan Kumar discussed rural development and welfare schemes, while Santosh Kumar Suman spoke about irrigation and water conservation initiatives. Nitish Mishra shared plans for urban development, housing and technology growth, and Sanjay Singh highlighted efforts related to drinking water supply and sanitation.
The summit also featured discussions on education reforms, panchayat empowerment, road connectivity and economic growth, with ministers including Mithilesh Tiwari, Deepak Prakash and Kumar Shailendra sharing their department’s vision.
Former Union Minister and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke about Bihar’s role in India’s development journey, while Lok Sabha MP Arun Bharti highlighted opportunities for youth, employment and entrepreneurship.
The Diamond States Summit Bihar served as a platform to review the government’s first 100 days and discuss the state’s future development strategy.
