News18 Gujarati recently organised the ‘Pride of Saurashtra’ event in Ahmedabad, bringing together industry leaders, educationists, legal experts and entrepreneurs to discuss the region’s growing contribution to the development of Gujarat.
According to a press release from News18 Gujarati, the event, held on February 23, focused on highlighting Saurashtra’s expanding role in economic growth, infrastructure development and innovation, while also providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on the region’s future.
The programme was attended by Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he underlined the importance of Saurashtra in the state’s overall growth story and spoke about the region’s increasing contribution to economic and developmental initiatives.
The event featured a series of panel discussions centred on key sectors shaping Saurashtra’s future, including infrastructure, education, information technology and the legal ecosystem. One of the sessions focused on infrastructure development as a major driver of economic progress in the region, with industry representatives discussing the role of strategic investments, urban expansion and industrial growth in accelerating Saurashtra’s development trajectory.
Another session explored emerging opportunities in education, technology and legal services. Speakers highlighted innovation, skill development, digital transformation and legal awareness as crucial pillars for advancing the next phase of regional progress and strengthening the region’s overall growth framework.
A major highlight of the event was the felicitation of 16 awardees who were recognised for their contributions and achievements across diverse sectors such as healthcare, MSME and SME industries, education, consultancy and real estate. The recognition aimed to honour individuals and organisations that have played a significant role in driving progress and innovation in the region.
