News18 Assam Northeast is set to host ‘Rising Assam 2025’ on December 22 in Guwahati, bringing the spotlight back on Assam’s development journey and future ambitions.
The event will be graced by Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, who will attend as the Chief Guest, underscoring the importance of the platform in shaping conversations around the state’s growth and policy direction.
According to a News18 press release, ‘Rising Assam 2025’ has been conceived as a forward-looking forum to reflect on Assam’s progress while outlining its aspirations for the years ahead. The programme aims to bring together policymakers, senior leaders and key stakeholders to deliberate on opportunities, achievements and priorities that are defining Assam’s evolving growth story.
A key highlight of the event will be two exclusive one-on-one sessions with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The first interaction will see him in conversation with Anand Narasimhan, Managing Editor and Senior Anchor at CNN-News18, followed by another in-depth discussion with Paragmoni Aditya, Editor, News18 Assam Northeast. Both sessions are expected to focus on governance, development initiatives and the state’s long-term vision.
The programme will also feature focused discussions with senior ministers from the Assam Cabinet, covering a wide range of portfolios including environment and forests, agriculture, rural development, tourism, health, housing and urban affairs, labour welfare and internal security. Ministers scheduled to participate include Chandra Mohan Patowary, Atul Bora, Ranjeet Kumar Dass, Jayanta Malla Baruah, Ashok Singhal and Rupesh Gowala, among others, offering viewers insights into policy priorities across departments.
‘Rising Assam 2025’ will be broadcast live on News18 Assam Northeast on December 22 from 4 pm onwards, providing audiences across the region an opportunity to engage with key conversations shaping Assam’s present and future.
