NDTV’s digital platforms have recorded strong audience engagement on YouTube, with both NDTV India and NDTV 24×7 emerging as leaders in viewership during a period marked by intense national and global developments.
The network’s performance reflects growing digital consumption as audiences tracked key events ranging from the Union Budget to international trade developments and India’s sporting milestones.
According to a press release, data released by DataBeings showed that NDTV India recorded 2,455 million views on YouTube, while NDTV 24×7 garnered 119 million views. The figures mark a significant phase of digital engagement for the network during one of the year’s most consequential news cycles, as audiences increasingly turned to online platforms for real-time updates and analysis.
The Union Budget coverage on NDTV played a key role in driving viewership, sparking nationwide discussions through detailed digital explainers, sector-focused insights, and expert-led conversations. The network’s coverage explored taxation changes, infrastructure spending, fiscal strategies, and the broader economic roadmap, offering audiences comprehensive perspectives on policy developments.
Global developments also contributed to audience traction, particularly evolving US–India tariff tensions and trade negotiations. NDTV closely tracked the economic and diplomatic implications of these developments, analysing their potential impact on trade flows, domestic industries, and India’s global positioning.
India’s growing prominence in the technology sector featured prominently in the network’s programming, with extensive coverage of the AI Impact Summit and the country’s ambitions in the global artificial intelligence landscape. NDTV also hosted the Ind.Ai Summit in New Delhi, bringing together industry leaders and experts to discuss innovation, regulatory frameworks, investment trends, and strategic partnerships shaping the future of AI. The event was streamed live on YouTube, further strengthening digital engagement.
Sporting developments added to the network’s viewership momentum, with comprehensive coverage of India’s T-20 Cricket World Cup preparations and campaign. Real-time updates, expert commentary, and digital-first formats attracted significant traction among online audiences.

Commenting on the performance, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NDTV, said February witnessed an unusually fast-moving news cycle, spanning the Union Budget, global trade shifts, state-level political developments, and India’s T-20 World Cup campaign. He noted that the strong audience response on YouTube reflects growing trust in the network’s digital-first journalism and its ability to deliver timely and relevant news.
Akhil Kumar, Deputy Executive Editor, Digital Videos (English), NDTV, described the simultaneous leadership of NDTV India and NDTV 24×7 on YouTube as a defining milestone, highlighting the network’s cross-language reach and capacity to scale impactful journalism across platforms. He added that the organisation remains focused on shaping the digital news conversation through continued innovation.
Political developments across several states, including Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, further strengthened audience engagement. NDTV’s coverage combined on-ground reporting, alliance tracking, and in-depth political analysis, offering viewers insights into evolving voter sentiment.
