Network18 has announced a wide-ranging reshuffle of its editorial leadership, expanding roles across social, digital, connected TV (CTV) and linear platforms as it looks to sharpen coordination in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
According to a press release, the changes have been outlined in an internal communication by Rahul Joshi, with a focus on building stronger alignment between editorial, revenue and platform strategies to drive growth across formats.
As part of the restructuring, Smriti Mehra, S Shivakumar and Mitul Sangani will now report directly to Joshi, alongside Ganesh Iyer and Abhinay Chauhan who continue in their existing reporting lines. The move signals a more streamlined leadership structure aimed at faster decision-making and execution.
On the business side, Prabhat Chatterjee, Business Head of Forbes, and Arun Thapar, President of Content & Communication for AETN-18, will report to Smriti Mehra, leading revenue growth, marketing and product initiateves. Mallika Nath Handa will also report to Mehra, taking charge of scaling special projects, including new shows and non-linear content properties.
Further changes see Jayesh Gokalgandhi, CFO for AETN18, reporting to Ramesh Damani, while Sidharth Newatia, CRO-ILC, will report to Mitul Sangani with a mandate to expand reach and revenue across Hindi and regional markets, particularly in Tier-II and Tier-III regions. Pankaj Soni, Head of Marketing-ILC, will also report to Mitul while working closely with Ganesh Iyer.
In a bid to consolidate content-led revenue streams, the branded content business of Moneycontrol has been integrated with News18 Studio. Don Zarrar will collaborate with Shivakumar on the studio business while continuing to lead his existing teams at Moneycontrol.
Pranav Bakshi has taken on additional responsibility for international operations alongside his existing mandate across connected TV and social platforms. Naveen Mathur, who oversees revenue management for the international business, will report to him, while Bakshi continues to report to Puneet Singhvi.
Technology and operations leadership has also been realigned, with Rajesh Sharma (Broadcast Technology & IT), Rahul Singh (Events & Technical Operations) and Bhupender Bhardwaj (IT Security) now reporting to Singhvi. Darshil Parekh, Head of Sales Strategy, Planning & Operations, will work directly with Ramesh Damani and Rahul Joshi, while Stanley Cyril, who manages digital sales operations, will report to Parekh.
On the analytics front, Jitamitra Mohanty will work closely with Santosh Menon to translate audience data into actionable insights for content strategy, product innovation and sustained engagement.
With platforms multiplying and audience behaviour evolving rapidly, the restructuring reflects Network18’s attempt to keep its editorial and business engines closely aligned. The move is expected to drive sharper storytelling, stronger monetisation strategies, and a more agile approach across television and digital ecosystems.
