Streaming platform Netflix yesterday unveiled the trailer for Season 2 of the courtroom comedy series ‘Maamla Legal Hai’, with the new instalment set to premiere on April 3. The upcoming season returns to the chaotic world of the Patparganj District Court, promising bigger cases, sharper humour and unpredictable courtroom moments as the quirky team of lawyers handles a fresh set of unusual disputes.
In the new season, according to a Netflix statement on the unveiling of the trailer of Season 2, V.D. Tyagi, played by Ravi Kishan, finally secures the judge’s chair but finds himself presiding over even more bizarre cases and complicated personal dynamics within the court. The show will also see the return of key characters portrayed by Nidhi Bisht, Naila Grewal, Anant Joshi and Anjum Batra.
Produced by Posham Pa Pictures, the series is led by showrunner Sameer Saxena and directed by Rahul Pandey. The world and characters of the show were created by Saurabh Khanna and Kunal Aneja, with the new season written by Syed Shadan, Mohak Aneja and Tatsat Pandey.
The second season will also introduce new characters played by Kusha Kapila and Dinesh Lal Yadav, adding fresh dynamics to the satirical take on the workings of a district court. According to the platform, the series continues to blend everyday legal cases with humour and workplace drama set in a bustling courtroom environment.
