The highly anticipated trailer for ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba’, featuring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Sunny Kaushal, has been released. This film is a sequel to the 2021 hit Haseen Dillruba and continues the story of Rani (Pannu) and Rishu (Massey), who were last seen reuniting after Rishu’s dramatic return from presumed death.
In ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba’, Rani and Rishu’s life in Agra is far from the happy ending suggested by the first film. Rani has a new lover, Abhimanyu (Kaushal), creating a toxic love triangle that drives the plot forward. Rishu seems to be on the run, with hints of a murderous streak, especially after Rani’s affair with Abhimanyu comes to light.
Joining the original cast is Jimmy Shergill, who portrays a cop investigating Rani’s case. He is also the paternal uncle of Neel, the character killed by Rani in the first film, adding another layer of complexity to the storyline.
“Reuniting with Rani feels like coming home, and I’m thrilled to dive back into her world again. The immense love and support I received for this film is overwhelming. Kanika has once again crafted a phenomenal arc for Rani, pushing the character to new depths. This time around, audiences will witness a Rani who is fiercer, more passionate, and even more complex.”
“Rishu is more than just a character to me; he’s a complex individual caught in a whirlwind of emotions. Reprising this role has been a fulfilling journey. If you thought you knew Rishu, prepare to be surprised. The sequel delves deeper into his psyche, exploring his vulnerabilities and strengths in ways we haven’t seen. The story takes unexpected turns, and I’m confident audiences will be captivated by the wild ride that awaits them.”
The trailer showcases intense drama, a mysterious crocodile seemingly trailing Rani, and the turmoil of a love triangle intensified by Rishu’s potential for violence. This sequel promises to delve deeper into the psychological and emotional turmoil of its characters.
‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba’ is directed by Jayprad Desai and is set to premiere on Netflix on August 9.
Prepare for a thrilling continuation of the tangled love and deception that made the first film a hit.
