Netflix has announced that it will release 40 more games later this year and that 70 titles are currently in development with its partners.
“This is in addition to the 16 games that our in-house game studios are currently developing,” the company said in a statement.
“Our goal is to create a diverse portfolio of games in a variety of genres and formats because we believe that everyone can find joy in games if they find the one (or many!) that is right for them,” it said.
In January of this year, the platform released ‘Valiant Hearts: Coming Home,’ the first of three Ubisoft exclusive games on Netflix, IANS reported from San Francisco.
Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace, a new game from Ubisoft, will be released on April 18.
“Next year … Monument Valley franchise will be available on Netflix, beginning with Monument Valley 1 and Monument Valley 2, with more to follow,” the company said.
The company also stated that it is working on an exclusive title based on an upcoming Netflix release with game developer Super Evil Megacorp (Vainglory, Catalyst Black).
This month, the company released two new games: ‘Highwater’, which is now available, and ‘Terra Nil’, which will be available on March 28.
