ShareChat Ltd., India’s largest homegrown social media company, has appointed Neha Markanda as its new Chief Business Officer for ShareChat and Moj platforms. In this role, she will lead the company’s revenue strategy, drive business expansion, and strengthen partnerships with stakeholders across India.
The development was shared through an official press release, which highlighted that Markanda’s appointment comes at a crucial time as ShareChat has recently achieved profitability and is aiming to cross a revenue run rate of Rs 1,200 crore this year. With more than 325 million monthly active users across ShareChat and Moj, the company is now looking to deepen regional engagement while offering advertisers one of the most powerful platforms to connect with India’s diverse audiences.
Markanda brings with her over 22 years of rich experience, having previously worked with global giants across consumer products and technology. Most recently, she served as Head of Industry, E-commerce at Google India, where she led strategy across multiple verticals and was instrumental in business transformation and AI-based solutions in retail and health tech sectors. Her career also includes leadership roles at Meta (Facebook) as Head of Business Marketing, along with senior stints at GSK Consumer Healthcare Ltd., PepsiCo, ITC Limited, and HCL Technologies.
