NDTV India has secured the No. 1 position among Hindi news channels on YouTube for August, according to the latest Databeings rankings.

According to an NDTV press release, citing the Databeings rankings, NDTV India recorded 897.5 million views during the month and had an 18 percent share of Hindi news viewership on YouTube. ABP News ranked second with 825.8 million views and a 16 percent share, while News18 India was third with 728.3 million views and a 14 percent share. News24 ranked fourth with 516 million views and a 10 percent share.

NDTV highlighted its coverage of major news events during August, including the devastating floods in Nepal. The network said its teams reported from the ground and provided live updates, breaking news, ground reports and explainers.

Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said journalism carries greater responsibility during times of crisis. He said the network focuses on being present where the story is, verifying information and ensuring that reliable news reaches audiences.

The channel also saw strong audience engagement around other major developments in August, including Independence Day coverage, sugar prices and the death of Atiq Ahmed’s son.

NDTV India has also continued to expand its digital-focused content. Its ‘Secret Files’ podcast has been among the notable successes of its digital strategy.The August ranking places NDTV India at the top among Hindi news channels on YouTube for the month.
