NDTV Good Times has announced a landmark cultural initiative with the launch of Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy’s first-ever India tour, marking a multi-city celebration of music, memories and Bollywood’s enduring soundscape. The tour brings together one of Indian cinema’s most influential composer trios and audiences across key cultural hubs, promising a rare and immersive live experience.
As per a press release, the multi-city tour will begin in Mumbai on February 8, followed by Hyderabad on February 22 and Bengaluru on March 27. The concerts will give fans across generations the opportunity to experience the trio perform live, celebrating a body of work that has defined modern Hindi cinema for over two decades.
Over the years, Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy have carved a unique space in Indian music with their ability to blend Indian classical, rock, jazz, folk, Sufi and electronic influences, often within the same album. Their sound has shaped the emotional grammar of countless films, making their compositions both timeless and instantly recognisable. Speaking about the journey and the spirit behind the tour, the trio said, “We are here because of a bigger purpose and that is to stick around and to create music together.”
From high-energy chartbusters like ‘Kajra Re’, ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’ and ‘It’s the Time to Disco’ to soulful melodies such as ‘Mitwa’ and the raw, youthful energy of ‘Rock On!!’, their music has been woven into celebrations, heartbreaks, friendships, weddings and road trips. While millennials grew up with their songs as the soundtrack to key life moments, Gen Z continues to discover and embrace their music with the same enthusiasm, underscoring the trio’s cross-generational appeal.
The tour is envisioned as a meeting point of nostalgia and contemporary musical ideas, where Bollywood melodies and pure musical brilliance come together in a shared live setting. Each concert promises an evening steeped in emotion, familiarity and collective memory, offering audiences what the network describes as a genuinely good time.
Speaking on the association, Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, NDTV, said Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy are cultural storytellers whose music has accompanied India through moments of joy, transition and shared history. He added that the collaboration with NDTV Good Times is aimed at bringing people together through music that carries meaning, depth and a lasting emotional connect.
Rahul Shaw, Chief Experiences Officer, NDTV, said the tour reflects NDTV Good Times’ philosophy of curating distinctive, immersive and culturally authentic experiences. He noted that the live format allows audiences to reconnect with songs that have defined personal milestones and shared memories, making the partnership a natural fit.
