In a recent panel discussion organized by Times Now and Navbharat Navnirman Manch – Uttar Pradesh 2024, titled ‘Ram Leher: 2024 ki Dagar,’ discussions revolving around the state’s political landscape showcased a clash of perspectives among various party representatives.
The panel, featuring Waris Pathan (AIMIM National Spokesperson), Sudhanshu Trivedi (BJP), Anurag Bhadouria (Samajwadi Party), Harshvardhan Tripathi (Senior Journalist), and CP Rai (Media Head of UP Congress), aimed at fostering inclusive dialogue without political motives.
According to press release, tensions rose as opposition members criticized the BJP, accusing them of engaging in politics based on religion and engineering defections. The BJP spokesperson, Sudhanshu Trivedi, defended the party’s position on religious matters while emphasizing the economic successes in Uttar Pradesh under PM Modi’s leadership.
Waris Pathan criticized the Samajwadi Party and Congress for alleged collaboration with the BJP, condemning the party’s perceived anti-Muslim stance and questioning its governance, particularly regarding youth unemployment. Trivedi countered by highlighting BJP’s achievements in poverty reduction and infrastructure development in the state.
Journalist Harshvardhan Tripathi applauded UP’s infrastructural growth and improved airport accessibility. Anurag Bhadouria accused the BJP of hypocrisy and corruption, while CP Rai of UP Congress criticized the party for politicizing religion and failing to fulfill promises, cautioning against the mixing of religion with politics.
