Mukta Arts has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Gold Animation to jointly develop and produce animated shows and feature films based on Mukta Arts’ iconic intellectual property portfolio, The Economic Times has reported.
The collaboration marks a strategic expansion into the animation space, aiming to bring classic film narratives to younger and global audiences through a new creative medium.
As part of its broader push into animation and gaming, Mukta Arts launched SGM Animation Studio in 2025 as its dedicated Animation and Games division. The studio, according to the ET report, is tasked with developing, producing and co-producing animated films, series, comic books and games.
Founded by Rajiv Chilaka, Green Gold Animation is widely known for creating some of India’s most successful homegrown animation franchises, including the globally popular Chhota Bheem. The studio has produced hundreds of hours of animated content across television, OTT platforms and feature films, building a strong presence in the children’s entertainment segment.
