In a remarkable union of entertainment, responsibility, and compassion, MTV’s iconic youth reality show, MTV Roadies – Karm ya Kaand, has teamed up with the Maharashtra Highway Traffic Police for a groundbreaking road safety campaign in Mumbai.
This initiative, aimed at raising awareness about road safety, saw MTV Roadies provide 500 branded helmets, courtesy of the Yashlok Foundation, to the Maharashtra Highway Traffic Police.
As per a press release, the collaboration underscores the show’s commitment to promoting road safety and responsibility while maintaining an element of adventure, staying true to the essence of MTV Roadies.
Humanitarian, philanthropist, and actor Sonu Sood, along with a dedicated team of traffic personnel, recently took to the bustling streets of Andheri West in Mumbai for this unique endeavor. In a surprising twist reminiscent of the show’s unexpected challenges, the team distributed helmets to individuals caught without proper headgear instead of penalizing them.
This act of ‘Karm’ aimed to encourage responsible behavior and ensure that road safety rules are followed in the future. The initiative aligns perfectly with the show’s spirit, emphasizing the significance of performing good deeds while holding individuals accountable for their actions.
Dr. Ravinder Singal, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) of Maharashtra Highway Traffic Police, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration, saying, “As guardians of road safety, we are committed to making our streets safer for all. This unique partnership between MTV Roadies – Karm ya Kaand and the Maharashtra Highway Traffic Police has allowed us to emphasize the importance of road safety on a broader scale, reshaping mindsets and behaviors. We are grateful for MTV’s efforts on the streets of Mumbai today.”
The initiative’s message was further reinforced as viewers witnessed a crucial road safety message from ADGP Ravinder Singal during a recent episode of MTV Roadies Karm ya Kaand. This message aims to promote responsible behavior on the roads, reaching MTV Roadies fans across the nation.
MTV Roadies – Karm ya Kaand’s collaboration with the Maharashtra Highway Traffic Police serves as a shining example of how entertainment can be harnessed to promote social responsibility and contribute to a safer and more responsible society. With this partnership, MTV Roadies has not only entertained but also made a significant impact on road safety awareness and encouraged responsible behavior on the streets of Mumbai and beyond.
