‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, starring Ali Fazal, Divyenndu and Pankaj Tripathi, has crossed Rs 220 crore at the domestic box office.
The film was released in theatres on September 4 and marks the first big screen outing for the ‘Mirzapur’ universe. The franchise started as a streaming series in 2018 and has become one of India’s popular OTT franchises after three seasons.
According to a PTI report today, the film has earned Rs 220.10 crore in gross collection at the domestic box office. PTI cited the trade tracking website Sacnilk for the box office figures.
The film’s net collection currently stands at Rs 184.79 crore at the domestic box office, according to the figures cited by PTI from Sacnilk.
‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ brings the popular characters from the streaming franchise to the big screen. The film features Ali Fazal, Divyenndu and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles.
The movie’s box office performance adds another milestone to the ‘Mirzapur’ franchise, which began with its streaming series in 2018 and has completed three seasons.
