Microsoft is reportedly developing an all-in-one ‘super app’ to compete with Apple and Google’s mobile dominance.
According to IANS, the app could combine shopping, messaging, web search, news, and other services into a single app.
Microsoft executives believe the application will help to grow both Bing search and their advertising business.
The tech titan aspires to be like Tencent, which has all-in-one applications like WeChat. It’s unclear whether the company will ever release such an app.
Meanwhile, last month, Microsoft introduced ‘polls,’ which allow users to create polls right away with the Microsoft Forms app, making meetings in Teams more engaging.
To post a poll in a Teams channel or get instant feedback in a chat pane, go to the channel or chat you want to poll in, then select Forms at the bottom of your Teams window, then add your question – and – Answer options.
