Meta has unveiled a new feature called Vibes, introduced within the Meta AI app, which allows users to discover, create, and share short-form AI-generated videos. The company has positioned this as the first step toward reshaping how people interact with and experience AI-driven visual content.
According to a Meta report, Vibes will be available as a dedicated feed at the heart of the Meta AI app and also accessible via meta.ai. The feed will offer a curated stream of AI-generated videos created by users, artists, and communities, and will eventually be tailored to individual preferences. Alongside browsing, users will have access to intuitive tools that enable them to create videos from scratch, remix existing clips, or personalize them by adding music, altering visual styles, or integrating their own media.
The launch marks the next phase of the Meta AI app, which already serves as a hub for managing Meta’s AI-powered glasses, generating creative outputs from user photos and videos, and providing assistance through the Meta AI assistant. By integrating Vibes, Meta is aiming to make the app a more engaging space for collaborative and creative video experiences.
Once created, users can share their videos directly on the Vibes feed, send them in direct messages, or cross-post them to Instagram and Facebook as Stories or Reels. Additionally, any AI-generated video spotted on Instagram can be tapped and remixed seamlessly in the Meta AI app, strengthening the link between Meta’s platforms.
Meta confirmed it is working closely with visual artists and creators to widen the scope of tools and models available for content production. The company also noted that upcoming updates will introduce more sophisticated features, shaped by user feedback, to expand creative possibilities for its global audience.
