More end-to-end encrypted chat features, such as chat themes, custom emojis, reactions, group profile photos, and more, have been announced by Meta.
The company also announced that it has begun to expand global testing of end-to-end encrypted chats on Messenger.
Chat themes will help personalize and enhance users’ conversations in end-to-end encrypted chats. Users will also be able to set themes for end-to-end encrypted chats, including static colour and gradient themes.
Furthermore, in end-to-end encrypted chats, users will see the full menu of emoji reactions and be able to customize the quick reaction tray.
Users will be able to choose profile photos for different chats with friends or work colleagues with the introduction of Group profile photos, IANS reported from San Francisco.
On Android, it includes Link previews, Active Status, and Bubbles, among other things.
Link previews for end-to-end encrypted chats were added by the company so that users could see where a link would take them before clicking on it.
The tech giant further mentioned that, “over the next few months, more people will continue to see some of their chats gradually being upgraded with an extra layer of protection provided by end-to-end encryption”.
