By announcing two new skilling programmes in India on the occasion of World MSME Day on June 27, Meta reaffirmed its commitment to the development of India’s small businesses.
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and Meta have announced a new partnership to upskill one million traders on the WhatsApp Business App over the next three years.
Additionally, the business has announced the opening of the Meta Small Business Academy, which was created in response to Meta’s pledge to upskill 10 million small businesses by the year 2021.
New business owners and marketers will benefit most from a certification from the Meta Small Business Academy as they develop vital skills in digital marketing for success on the Meta apps.
The course module and examination are available in seven languages: English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu, allowing the programme to reach MSMEs throughout India, IANS reported from New Delhi.
Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President (India) at Meta, said, “Skilling plays a consequential role in unlocking growth for India’s MSMEs. At Meta, we are committed to enabling timely skill development opportunities for businesses across their growth journeys.
“While the MSBA certification will particularly benefit entrepreneurs who are just starting, our partnership with CAIT will empower traders across India to use WhatsApp Business app to connect with their customers and supercharge their growth journeys.”
