After leaving fans hooked with its debut season, ‘Maxton Hall – The World Between Us’ is all set to return for a high-stakes second season. Prime Video has officially announced that the new season of its hit original series will premiere worldwide on November 7. Along with the release date, the first teaser for Season 2 is now out — and it’s already stirring up a wave of anticipation across social media.
According to the official press release from Prime Video, the upcoming chapter of ‘Maxton Hall’ picks up after Ruby (played by Harriet Herbig-Matten) and James (Damian Hardung) share an unforgettable night in Oxford. For Ruby, her dreams seem finally within reach — until a devastating twist within James’ family turns her life upside down. Just when everything feels like it’s falling into place, James delivers the blow that sends her crashing back to reality.
Ruby, reeling from heartbreak, yearns for her old life — the simpler days when she was invisible in the elite corridors of Maxton Hall. But walking away from James isn’t easy. The deeper her pain, the more determined he becomes to win her back.
Based on Save You, the second book in Mona Kasten’s bestselling novel series, Season 2 promises a rollercoaster of emotions — torn loyalties, broken trust, and burning passion. And if the teaser is anything to go by, fans can expect darker emotional layers and deeper personal struggles as Ruby and James navigate the blurred lines of love and betrayal.
Returning alongside Herbig-Matten and Hardung are familiar faces: Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran, and Eli Riccardi as Elaine. The ensemble brings back the Maxton Hall universe in full force — rich, conflicted, and emotionally charged.
Directed once again by Martin Schreier (Traumfabrik), the season continues under the creative vision of producers Markus Brunnemann and Ceylan Yildirim, who also serves as head writer. Juliana Lima Dehne and Marlene Melchior have also contributed as screenwriters. Valentin Debler is back as producer under the banner of UFA Fiction. The production is supported by the German Motion Picture Fund (GMPF), strengthening the visual and emotional scale of the series.
With its mix of class tension, youthful romance, and emotional depth, Maxton Hall – The World Between Us became a standout success in its first season. And as Season 2 approaches, it’s clear — the world between Ruby and James is only getting more complicated.
