Krafton, the developer behind India’s popular battle-royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), has announced an exciting new partnership with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone.
This exclusive one-year collaboration will see Padukone as the brand ambassador of BGMI, marking a significant move in blending the worlds of gaming and entertainment, The Economic Times reported.
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Deepika Padukone will also be introduced as a playable character in BGMI. The character will come with two distinct skins, reflecting her signature style and persona. This initiative not only brings a new layer of engagement for BGMI players but also strengthens Krafton’s ties with Indian pop culture.
Sean Hyunil Sohn, CEO of Krafton India, expressed his excitement: “Partnering with Deepika Padukone, a global icon, represents a bold step forward in crafting unforgettable experiences for our players. We are aiming to blend the best of both worlds—gaming and entertainment—through this collaboration.”
Following previous successful collaborations with Indian celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Mumbai Indians, Krafton’s partnership with Padukone reinforces the company’s commitment to delivering innovative and immersive gaming experiences tailored for Indian players.
