KidZ has announced the launch of its first two original animated series, ‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ and ‘FAB 5’, marking a significant expansion of its kids entertainment portfolio. With these new titles, the platform steps deeper into original storytelling for children, blending Indian imagination, cultural roots and contemporary formats designed for young and family audiences.
‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ is set to premiere on December 24 on KidZ, while ‘FAB 5’ will follow shortly on the platform. Through its growing kids segment, ZEE5 aims to build a universe of Indian stories that spark creativity and offer culturally rooted entertainment. The new originals will sit alongside popular titles such as ‘Chhota Bheem’ and select international IPs, creating a well-rounded content offering for young viewers.
KidZ positions itself as a safe, age-appropriate and parent-approved platform, giving children the freedom to explore stories while offering parents reassurance about viewing choices. The focus remains on content that is engaging, meaningful and aligned with values families trust.
Set in the village of Himmatpur, ‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ brings together folktales, mythical creatures and villains woven into everyday life. The story follows Chote Tara, a fearless ten-year-old whose curiosity and courage lead him into action-packed adventures involving hidden secrets and an underground realm connected to ancient Indian legends.
‘FAB 5’ centres on ten-year-old Anand, who discovers he can merge with four magical toy companions — Rikki the rhino, Mayur the peacock, Mimmi the deer and Mitthu the parrot. Each character comes with distinct powers and personalities, and together they work to protect Anand’s family amusement park and a hidden mystical realm from growing threats.
Both series feature high-energy title tracks created to instantly connect with young audiences and boost the shows’ launch appeal.
Commenting on the launch, Chandan Khandelwal, Business Head – Kids Division, ZEE5 India and Global, said KidZ is being built as a joyful and safe space where children can engage with stories rooted in Indian culture.
