Kavita Khandelwal has moved on to a new professional chapter, taking charge as Regional Head at ZEE News.
The appointment marks a significant transition in her media career, coming after nearly five years at Republic Media, where she played a key role across marketing and sales leadership functions.
The development was shared by Khandelwal through a LinkedIn post, in which she announced, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Regional Head at ZEE News. Five memorable years at Republic Media come to an end. Grateful for the learning, friendships, and support from my boss, my colleagues and HR. As I step into a new journey with Zee News, I carry these experiences forward with pride and gratitude.” The post reflected both a sense of closure and optimism as she embarks on her next assignment.
During her tenure at Republic World, Khandelwal most recently served as Chief Marketing Manager. Over the years, she also held positions as Senior Marketing Manager and Marketing Manager, contributing to the organisation’s growth during an important phase of its expansion. Her nearly five-year stint at Republic Media was marked by hands-on leadership, close collaboration with teams, and strong on-ground market engagement.
Prior to Republic Media, Khandelwal built a solid foundation in the media industry through roles at TV Today Network, Dainik Bhaskar and Dainik Jagran. Her career reflects sustained experience across leading news and publishing organisations, with a clear focus on regional markets, revenue strategy and operational leadership.
As she steps into her new role at ZEE News, Khandelwal brings with her deep industry insight and a broad understanding of media operations, shaped by years of working across some of India’s most prominent news networks. Her appointment is expected to further strengthen ZEE News’ regional leadership and market presence.
