JioHotstar has unveiled the trailer for ‘The Legend of Hanuman’ Season 7, bringing back the popular animated mythological series with a new chapter in Hanuman’s journey. The new edition will premiere on October 23 during Dussehra week.

The upcoming season of the show, which is produced by Graphic India and co-created by Sharad Devarajan, takes the battle in Lanka to a critical stage with Ravan emerging in his most formidable form yet, the storyline gist said.

As despair spreads through the vanara or the monkey camp, Hanuman sets out to find the one weapon that could put an end to Ravan once and for all.
However, the quest soon takes Hanuman beyond the battlefield and across time, leading him into Lord Ram’s forgotten past and the kingdom of death.

Along the way, he uncovers a secret that reveals the true nature and full extent of his divinity. The season combines action with themes of faith, friendship and emotion as the countdown to Ravan’s end begins.
Actor Sharad Kelkar returns as the voice of Ravan, reprising his role as the series’ formidable antagonist.

Speaking about his association with the show, Kelkar said he has enjoyed being part of a series that brings some of India’s enduring mythological stories to life.
“There is something very special about being associated with a story and a character that have been part of our cultural fabric for generations,” Kelkar said.
He added that the new season takes Hanuman’s journey into unfamiliar territory, allowing audiences to witness his divinity and immense power in a new way. Creator and writer of the series and co-founder and CEO of Graphic India Devarajan said the partnership with JioHotstar has enabled the team to continue expanding the show’s mythological world, while presenting it in a way that feels both timeless and contemporary.
“Animation is the only medium that could do justice to the scale, imagination and spiritual depth of Lord Hanuman’s story, letting us explore characters and moments that would be nearly impossible to achieve in live action,” he added.

Created by Devarajan, Jeevan J. Kang and Charuvi Agrawal, ‘The Legend of Hanuman’ continues its distinctive animation style and expansive mythological storytelling in the new season.

The Graphic India production is directed by Kang and Navin John, with Devarajan, Kang, Sarwat Chadda and Shivangi Singh serving as writers.
