James Bond classics to stream on Netflix from Jan 15

James Bond is heading to Netflix, with several iconic films from the long-running spy franchise set to arrive on the platform early next year. As part of a licensing deal between Amazon-owned MGM Studios and Netflix, a selection of popular Bond titles will begin streaming from January 15, 2026.

According to an ANI report, Netflix will roll out films including ‘Die Another Day,’ ‘No Time To Die,’ ‘Quantum of Solace’ and ‘Skyfall’. The titles will be available for a three-month window across multiple territories, including the United States, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, the Benelux region, the Nordic countries, Italy and Latin America.

The Bond additions are part of a broader content-sharing arrangement between the two streaming giants. Following the James Bond films, other well-known titles such as ‘Rocky’, ‘Creed’ and ‘Legally Blonde’ are also expected to make their way to Netflix, further expanding its licensed film library.

The move comes at a time when Amazon MGM Studios has continued to license its catalogue beyond its own platform. David Weil’s conspiracy drama series Hunters began streaming on Netflix earlier this month and will remain available for a year in select markets, signalling a wider strategy to extend the reach of MGM’s content.

Explaining the approach, Chris Ottinger, Head of Worldwide Distribution at Amazon MGM Studios, said, “When Amazon acquired MGM, Amazon’s plan was to continue licensing MGM’s iconic library to streaming and television partners around the world. Bringing these iconic films and shows to Netflix is part of that continued strategy. James Bond remains one of the most enduring and influential franchises in cinematic history, and alongside other beloved titles in our library like Hunters, among other series, this agreement reflects the continued global appetite for premium storytelling and the strong working relationship we’ve built with Netflix.”

Traditionally, the James Bond films stream on Prime Video for a limited period each year around Bond Day. The Netflix run is expected to help sustain global interest in the franchise as audiences await the next chapter in the series.

The 26th James Bond film is currently in development and will be directed by Denis Villeneuve. Details about the cast and storyline remain under wraps, adding to anticipation among fans worldwide.
