India’s most empowering women-centric platform is set to return to the capital as the We Women Want Conclave & Shakti Awards 2025 gears up for its latest edition on August 7, hosted by iTV Network and presented by NewsX. With a powerful message—When women rise, nations transform—the event continues to honour women who have turned challenges into milestones and shaped a more inclusive and dynamic India.
The conclave is an extension of the widely followed weekly show We Women Want on NewsX, and over the years has grown into a national movement spotlighting women’s voices from every walk of life. From menstrual health and workplace discrimination to parenting and the role of women in uniformed services, the platform has consistently amplified real and often underrepresented issues faced by Indian women. It has also showcased inspirational journeys of grassroots champions—auto drivers, acid attack survivors, community leaders, and healthcare workers.
At the heart of the event lies the Shakti Awards, instituted in memory of Smt. Shakti Rani Sharma, former Mayor of Ambala and Trustee of the iTV Foundation. These awards honour women who have displayed extraordinary resilience and excellence in fields ranging from politics, defence, medicine, business, and arts to activism and entrepreneurship. Past editions have seen the presence of leaders like Smriti Irani, Devendra Fadnavis, Kiran Bedi, and Atishi, among others. The 2025 awards will continue this legacy by celebrating achievers from Bollywood to borderlands, CEOs to changemakers.
This year’s conclave promises stimulating discussions on themes like ‘Work & Motherhood’, ‘Ageing with Grace’, ‘Women in Uniform’, ‘Empowering the Northeast’, ‘Southern Phenomenons’, and ‘The Fellowship of Fame’.
The event will witness high-profile participation from Chief Guest Shri Jitendra Singh, Guest of Honour Smt. Rekha Gupta, and Keynote Speaker Dr. Shashi Tharoor. Among those joining the conversations are Ekta Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Shabana Azmi, Neha Dhupia, Lt Gen. Sadhna Saxena Nair, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Priyanka Chaturvedi, Uorfi Javed, Sunny Leone, Sara Abdullah Pilot, Dr. Jai Madaan, and Nimrat Kaur, along with thought leaders, business stalwarts, doctors, educators, and social impact leaders.
The conclave will also bring to the fore voices from the margins—Drone Didis like Vimla Kumari and Lakhpati Didis like Neeraj Devi—whose stories exemplify India’s grassroots transformation through women’s empowerment.
Dr. Aishwarya Pandit Sharma, Chairperson of iTV Network and creator of We Women Want, said, “What began as a safe space for women to speak freely has evolved into a national platform for change. The 2025 edition is not just about recognition—it’s about catalysing dialogue, shifting mindsets, and amplifying stories that inspire.”
Adding to this, Abhay Ojha, CEO of iTV Network, remarked, “We Women Want is a strategic platform that combines purpose-led storytelling with measurable business impact. It’s not just an event—it’s a movement that delivers equity, engagement, and influence for every brand and stakeholder involved.”
With its growing presence across cities and the digital ecosystem, We Women Want is fast becoming India’s leading platform for social change, gender discourse, and inclusive storytelling. The 2025 conclave is not just a celebration of what women have achieved—it is a blueprint for what they will lead next.
